June Cover Previews

Is it just me, or are Marvel's covers superior from month to month over the ones from DC?

Skaar: Son of Hulk # 1 by Carlo Pagulayan:
Portrait of an angry young man.

Guardians of the Galaxy # 2 by Clint Langley:
Who needs the Ent-wives? We found Cap's shield!

Nova # 14 by Alex Maleev:
I'm just getting hooked on this title in time for a Surfer appearance. Lucky me.

Ms. Marvel # 28 by Greg Horn:
Is that the X-Men-in-1 Skrull with Thor's Hammer?! No matter. Ms. Marvel can take him/her/it. Or can she? Purchase it and find out.

newuniversal: shockfront # 2 (of 6) by Brandon Peterson:
I'm happy that this series is coming back! Check out the first six issues, just out in paperback, if you haven't already. (Should be a nice treat for Heroes or even Lost fans.)

Young Avengers Presents # 6 (of 6) by Jim Cheung:
Like an aging veteran news anchor, Hawkeye will probably eventually lose his place to some hot younger woman.

Booster Gold # 10 by Dan Jurgens and Norm Rapmund:
Threatening me with a firing squad to buy this?

Green Arrow/Black Canary # 9 by Cliff Chiang:
Body surfing.

Indiana Jones and the Tomb of the Gods # 1 by Tony Harris:
I wonder if this will be an ongoing series (like the Star Wars titles).

Expect to see the cover for Usagi Yojimbo # 113 in the July edition (though you can already see it here, if you are anxious).

Links to more of June's comics covers and issue descriptions:
Marvel Comics for June, 2008
DC Comics for June, 2008
Dark Horse Comics for June, 2008
Image Comics for June, 2008
Archie Comics for June, 2008
Dynamite Entertainment for June, 2008
Avatar Press for June, 2008

I didn't wait for all the smaller, slower publishers this time (like Dynamite and IDW). If they come out with something, and I notice, I might add them later.

Update (3/31/2008): Added links for Dynamite and Avatar.
